DA to lead mass march against crime, to make national demand on Ramaphosa

On Friday, 10 July 2026, Democratic Alliance (DA) Leader, Geordin Hill-Lewis, will lead what is expected to be the biggest anti-crime march in Nelson Mandela Bay as the country grapples with a deepening crime crisis.

Hill-Lewis will make a serious, national demand to President Ramaphosa.

Hill-Lewis will address supporters after the march, and will be joined by:

  • DA Federal Chairperson Solly Msimanga,
  • DA EC Provincial Leader, Andrew Whitfield,
  • DA EC Provincial Chairperson, Yusuf Cassim,
  • DA Deputy Chief Whip in the National Assembly, Bax Nodada,
  • DA NMB Mayoral Candidate, Retief Odendaal and
  • DA EC Provincial Spokesperson, Georgina Faldtman.
