Tomorrow, 15 November 2021, the Democratic Alliance Women’s Network (DAWN) will attend the court appearance of the 34-year-old accused alleged to have murdered 7 women in and around Polokwane during August and October this year.
The accused was apprehended when he was found in possession of the cell phone of one of the victims.
The victims, aged between 25 and 42, were all buried in shallow graves in Mankweng, Westerburg and Sheshego.
As DAWN we are both angered and saddened that vulnerable members of our communities were brutally murdered.
We will be closely monitoring this case because for the most part the tragic stories of the vulnerable remain untold.
DA provincial chairperson for DAWN, Desiree van der Walt MP, will be accompanied by councillors, activists and members of the community.
Details of the court appearance are as follows:
Date: Monday, 15 November 2021
Time: 09:00
Venue: Sheshego Magistrates’ court,
There will be an opportunity for interviews and photographs.
