On Saturday, 9 May 2026, Democratic Alliance (DA) Leader Geordin Hill-Lewis will deliver a keynote address at the party’s KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Congress.
In his address, Hill-Lewis will outline a bold and actionable vision for transforming Durban and the municipalities of the proud province of KwaZulu-Natal into Africa’s leading cities and towns under a DA-led government.
Drawing on the governance successes of uMngeni and Cape Town, Hill-Lewis is to highlight how strong leadership, accountable governance, and service delivery excellence can empower residents to rediscover their own civic, social, and economic strength. A DA-led local government, walking hand in hand with the people of the province, will unlock economic growth, restore infrastructure, and rebuild civic pride and public trust.
KwaZulu-Natal is where the DA will prove that it can move from being a strong opposition party to a credible governing alternative in complex coalition terrain, while remaining principled and focused on delivery.
