The DA in Limpopo is shocked and deeply saddened by the passing of Maleketu Simon Malatji yesterday, following a short illness.
Simon, as he was fondly known to colleagues, served as the DA’s Constituency Officer in Capricorn for more than 12 years. The DA was his home, and while we mourn his passing, we also celebrate his life, his love for his family and his unwavering dedication to the party.
Simon was the unsung hero of the Capricorn constituency, working tirelessly behind the scenes to provide essential operational support to councillors and activists. He leaves behind a legacy of strong DA branches, dedicated activists and a lasting spirit of service that will continue to inspire those who worked alongside him.
We will pay our respects to Simon’s family during a visit to their home on Tuesday.
We extend our deepest condolences to Simon’s beloved wife, Engelinah, his two sons, nine grandchildren, and all his family, friends and colleagues. Our thoughts are with them during this difficult time.
Rest in peace, Simon. Your dedication, quiet service and contribution to the DA will not be forgotten.
