The DA in Limpopo welcomes the establishment of Agri Active (Agri Aktief), a new farmers’ union in Limpopo, and pledges to work with it and other agricultural organisations committed to advancing the interests of Limpopo’s farmers and the province’s agricultural sector.

Under the leadership of Fanie Havinga, Chairperson, and Erika Helm, Interim Operational Manager, Agri Active brings seasoned leadership well versed in the workings of organised agriculture and in the challenges and opportunities facing farming in the province.

We wish Agri Active every success in realising its vision and objectives, and we trust that this new initiative will contribute significantly to the protection, prosperity, and advancement of agriculture in Limpopo.

The DA will continue to work cooperatively with all agricultural organisations whose objective is to advance the best interests of our farmers and the agricultural sector, particularly at a time when the sector is confronting the current Foot-and-Mouth Disease (FMD) outbreak, as well as ongoing governance failures that continue to impact the sector.
